I have a wonderful repeat customer who asked me to do a few applique shirts for her.  This version of applique is different than embroidery applique.  This was a first for me, and I really liked how this shirt turned out.  To make a shirt like this, you iron WonderUnder or HeatnBond to the backside of the fabric you will be using.  You cut your shape (for me it was the heart and the cross).  Then you peel off the paper backing which leaves a layer of glue on the fabric.  You place your shape right side up on the shirt and press it down.  The heat and steam from the iron will activate the adhesive causing it to permanently stick to your shirt.  After the item is cooled, you sew around the edges with your regular sewing machine. So quick and easy.  This design was done just in time for Valentine’s Day!
